WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR FIRST VISIT
Exam
After Dr. Dallin Birch reviews your x-rays, they will take a close look at your gums and teeth. If they notice any potential issues, they will help you understand exactly what is going on, and how best to address it. It is our goal for you to stay informed so you can feel confident about making the right decision for your oral health.
Necessary X-Rays
Depending on how long it’s been since your last dental x-rays, Dr. Dallin Birch may take new x-rays. Dental x-rays are a useful tool to help us detect problems that may not be visible to the naked eye. Dr. Dallin Birch will be able to see any problem areas such as cavities or infections, cracks in the tooth enamel, and make a recommendation from there.
Thorough Cleaning
Your dental hygienist will thoroughly clean your teeth, removing any plaque and tartar that may have accumulated. This includes flossing and scraping off plaque that has built up under the gum line with either water or an ultrasonic cleaner. Your teeth will be left feeling polished and refreshed.

Meet Dr. Dallin Birch
Dr. Birch has always had dual passions for art and healthcare. Coming from a family of artists and musicians, he has also always loved helping people and being of service to others. When he first got his taste of the dental field working in an orthodontic lab in college, he discovered that dentistry could be that perfect blend of art and healthcare—and he’s been hooked ever since.
Dr. Birch attended Arizona State University for his undergraduate studies, where he majored in Psychology. He then went on to attend Nova Southeastern College of Dental Medicine where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree.
In his spare time, Dr. Birch plays keyboard, guitar, and sings in a cover band, playing shows a few times each month in local venues around the valley. He also enjoys wakeboarding, snowboarding, and traveling with his wife and family—especially to places where they can snorkel or scuba dive.

The Invisalign Treatment Process
Consultation & Exam
During your first visit, your doctor will take a look at your bite and smile to determine if Invisalign is the right option for you. This is also a great opportunity for you to ask any questions that you may have about your smile, Invisalign, or other treatment options.
Aligner Pick Up
Once you’re approved for treatment, we will take scans or impressions of your teeth to ensure your Invisalign trays fit perfectly. When your aligners arrive at our office, you’ll come and pick them up to begin your treatment.
Check-ins
Once you’re approved for treatment, we will take scans or impressions of your teeth to ensure your Every six weeks or so, you’ll come back to our office to pick up your next few sets of aligners. Every treatment plan is different, so this amount of time may vary based on your needs. These check-ins are essential to ensure your treatment is on track and that your Invisalign trays are fitting properly.

Dr. Blalock
Dr. Blalock grew up on a beef cattle farm in Crossville, TN. The time he spent working on the farm taught Dr. Blalock valuable problem-solving skills and a good work ethic. After Dr. Blalock suffered a dental injury when a cow’s hoof contacted his teeth, his dentist repaired his smile and sparked a fascination for the art of dentistry. Because of that experience, Dr. Blalock realized his calling was to become a dentist. He loves that dental work gives him the ability to work creatively with his hands while interacting with patients and making a positive impact on their lives.
Dr. Blalock graduated Summa Cum Laude from Tennessee Tech University with an undergraduate degree in health science biology. He went on to graduate with honors from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry
